Printing Company

If you are thinking about starting your own printing company, you have to decide what type of press you need to buy. You can choose one color or 6 color, but most people just getting started in this type of business start out printing in only one or two colors. Once you get comfortable with using these you can later expand to using additional colors and attachments for the press. A cost saving device is to start with micro-registration that lets you fine tune the screen to line up multiple colors for printing. Depending on your budget there are various sizes of presses to choose from for your printing company. You can have relatively small presses that will fit on the top of a desk and you can have ones that measure 7 feet in diameter. You can also have the necessary dryer to suit the type of press you have. If you start out with a small printer and realize that for a large order you do need attachments or add ons, there are many different things that you can purchase at any time and add them on. This is essential because most printing companies do start out small and gradually expand as business picks up. When it comes to purchasing dryers for a printing company that does T-shirt images, the size you choose depends on the volume of business you do. There are dryers that will accommodate one T-shirt if you do printing on demand, but there are larger models that will dry 30, 40 or even 50 T-shirts at the same time and a conveyor dryer will produce 144 t-shirts per hour. The time required for drying depends on several factors: the temperature setting, the closeness of the heater to the material and the thickness of the ink. You can choose to print different types of articles when you have a printing company. Caps with logos on them is a very lucrative business and there is always a demand for company stationary for letterheads on paper, envelopes and business cards. The type of press you choose to have depends entirely on what you intend to print.
