Printing Business Cards On Uk Avery Cards
Q: Help please. I have designed a set of business cards using the Publisher 2000 wizard & assumed they would print correctly on Avery cards (these are standard in the UK) but the Avery cards (J8414) are 50.8 x 87 mm (Publisher assumes 55 x 85 mm) in addition the top & bottom margins of the Avery sheets are much larger (we use A4 in the UK). I have tried using a custom size & adjusting the margins by measuring them myself but they are still not perfect. Are there any templates or precise instructions to print business cards on Avery UK cards?
A: Set these up as a business card, index card or label to whatever closely matches the size you want to use, and change the page size. Change the label size under Page Setup menu FILE then Page Setup and select Special Size and enter the size you want, and you actually change the number per page under the PRINT command by button PAGE OPTIONS - yes, it was a strange place to put that option.
