Make A Business Card Online - How?
Q: I am a Webmaster of a Corporate Intranet. We predominantly run IE5 under NT4. We have access to Frontpage Extensions. One of our sections (printing section) wants customers to be able to construct their business card on a web page, and submit those details to the printing department. What they also want to do is use those details to give them a preview of the card on their screen, to see what they are getting. The card itself is a corporate standard, so there will only be a certain amount of space for each area on the card (name, phone number, address etc.). There will be no variables as far as this is concerned. How can i do it with Frontpage 2000 (or some other product?).
A: The first option you should look at is using ASP to generate the preview. The only challenge is making sure that all the users have any special font required for the business card. Carefully designed tables and images can probably closely reproduce the appearence of the card.
