A phone card is an excellent way to obtain cheap rates on long distance without having to subscribe to any particular long distance calling plan. These cards' rates depend on the country, but they are often exceptionally lower than regular long distance plan rates. When you purchase a phone card, be sure to find out when or if it expires. Some companies limit the amount of time you have to use your card, and some even charge a fee for you to hold on to the minutes rather than using them fairly quickly. If you shop around on various websites or in various stores, you will be able to find the most minutes at the lowest prices fairly quickly. After investigating what is out there, you will understand just how much you can save by using a long distance phone card.
