Supermarket-purchase Olive Oil For Use On Skin?
Q: It's the winter up here in the Northeast US. Which means dry skin. Several of my friends, both from Mediterranean countries, have said that normal olive oil from the supermarket can be used as a body oil. I know that many companies market vegetable-based oils for skin care. But frankly ordinary (not extra-virgin) olive oil is quite inexpensive. Thoughts?
A: -Why not just use baby (mineral) oil? It's not expensive and you won't smell like salad dressing. -Maybe in small amounts. I use pure Petroleum Jelly sometimes..if i use a little, it's fine, and absorbs quite quickly..if i get smart and use it excessively it leaves a thick film that never goes away and that SUX.
