Tourist Attractions In Egypt
Egypt is filled with history that ranges more than 6,000 years. In this country where Arabic, English and French are official languages, the entire country is surrounded with a piece of world history. Visitors can take a look at the archeological riches such as the Sphinx and Tutankhamen's tomb and finish off their visit with a tour of the Nile River. In Egypt, the land is filled with many places to see making the tourist choices endless. The best place to start a tour of all that Egypt has to offer would be in the heart of it all, Cairo, the capitol. Some consider Cairo the mother of the world being home some of the first civilized people in the world. From ancient architecture to modern buildings, history is abundant here in Cairo as well as host to many of Egypt's attraction sites are located. Visit the Egyptian pyramids, one of the eight wonders of the world located in Cairo. Not many know that by visiting them in chronological order that they actually tell a story of historical landmarks of Egypt. On the Nile River, also referred to as the river of life, tourists can get up close on a boat or ride along its banks on camel back. When it comes to music, the Cairo Symphony proves that Classical music translates as a universal language. Check out their concert when you visit Cairo. Established about 170 years ago, by the Egyptian government along with a French architect, the Egyptian Museum hosts over 120,000 historical artifacts. Each piece is intended to teach the world the ways of previous Egyptian civilizations. Restitute monuments in the museum include Queens head, the head of the 19th Dynasty queen was illegally expelled from her country. Also, the Stella from Seti I, which was found in the 1940s, is a compartmentalized representation if a deity breastfeeding the king and Seti I, who was also a legendary Egyptian. Also found in the museum is a part of The Golden Coffin, having once belonged to King Akhenaton. Being completely made of gold, it disappeared from the museum 1915, it was later found to be in a Swiss museum and it was then that it returned to the Egyptian museum in 1931. In Alexandria, the former Egyptian capital, gardens at the Motazah Palace are on display and are filled with beautiful flowers. This palace use to belong to the late King Farouk who ended up being Egypt's last king.
