Listing Service Which Will Match Mortgage Brokers.
Q: Using the Internet, AMERICAN MORTGAGE LISTINGS-The Most Exciting Revolution in the Mortgage Brokerage Business-has launched an all new listing service which will match mortgage brokers, institutional lenders, and private investors with borrowers in need of real estate loans around the world???
A: Elizabeth K. Scott, a hard money mortgage broker, and Michael M. Sherer, a Certified General real estate appraiser, each with over 16 years in their respective fields, have created a source for borrowers and lenders to find each other 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, using the vast resources of the World Wide Web. "The concept was born from the frustration of having loan requests that made sense, yet didn't quite fit local underwriting guidelines," explains Ms. Scott. Fashioned after the Multiple Listing Service, used by real estate brokers and agents throughout the country to list properties for sale, American Mortgage Listings, for a nominal fee of $45.00, will list a loan request summary on their Web page for 30 days. Mortgage brokers and agents can list their difficult-to-place loan requests on the 'Net through AML for lenders, private investors and other mortgage brokers around the world to browse for free. The listing broker or agent is then contacted directly by any interested lender. Neither the borrower's name nor exact property address is stated on the listing form. Brokers and agents will expand their lender contacts, borrowers will obtain their loans and everyone saves time and money. "If you're on the Internet, you already know the incredible exchange of information that takes place," says Mr. Sherer. "If you're not there yet, we suggest that you should consider it soon. Our industry is changing rapidly and those who are willing to expand their horizons and try new technology will survive and prosper."
