Business Management).what Is A Typical Day For A Mortgage Broker ?
Q: My son is thinking about becoming a Mortgage Broker (he got a degre in business management); I am curious about this job. What is a typical day for a mortgage broker ? Is there a lot of sales to do ? Finding new customers? Do they meet with customers, or mostly over the phone ?
A: I am a mortgage broker in Arizona and I have been in the busines for the last six years. I can tell you that starting out as a mortgage broker is not easy. It's mostly a 100% job and requires a lot patience, because sometimes you might not get pain for a couple of months. There is a lot prospecting and relationship building in this business. I spend most of my day either following up with borrowers or lenders on the phone or via email. The only thing I can you is that if your son a good sales person and knows how to network he will not have a problem finding
