Wiki Clinical Depression, The Antidepressants Rated

Q: I found it an interesting read. I found Remeron or Zispin as it is called here in the UK to be of absolutely no benefit what so ever. The only good thing thay it did for me was to meake me sleep for 12 hours which was great as I was only managing 5 hours sleep on Zimovane and I justy wanted to be asleep to not feel as bad as I did. Also made me put on wight as wanted to eat everything in site. The eating thing subsided, the sleep did not and most distressingly neither did the depression. Useless drug in my opinion. But each to their own.

A:To the degree that anyone argues that the situation is permanent, we have to consider that as symptomatic of clinical depression. To the degree that anyone argues that "it's not personal, it's just that there's an Invasion on"; that's fighting depression, that's facing facts. Nobody took your job for lower wages because you deserve to be unemployed, you lost your job because some unscrupulous employer didn't mind breaking the law to make a fast buck. Nothing personal, it's just that assholes are a fact of life. To the degree that anyone argues "it may be pervasive, _but not for long_. Follow me!" they are not only doing something about the pervasiveness, they're ensuring that it won't be permanent. They're saving themselves, and saving their minds from clinical depression, as well. That's another reason it's so important that we share success stories wherever possible, and it's also essential that we don't count chickens before they're hatched. Let's be optomistic about successes that have already occurred, not overly confident about future struggles which haven't yet been decided.
