Supreme Court Justice Thomas Speaks On Second Amendment

Q: In his concurring opinion on the Brady Law, Justice Thomas characterizes the Second Amendment as "guaranteeing a substantive personal right" The opinion is at: http://supct.law.cornell.edu/supct/html/95-1478.ZC1.html

A:Yeah, anyone who knows all about lynchings and how discouraged a lynch mob can get when the run into a couple of potential victims with loaded weapons shouldn't be on the Supreme Court. Reserve those slots for people who have always lived in the good part of town where the police like to hang out and where the strings can be pulled to ensure the wrong sort don't loiter. Try looking around the better parts of NYC sometime and count the street people and then do the same thing where mere mortals live. Makes ya' think there is some accountability among government officials, at least if you have enough bucks. Still, I have to admit the man is tainted, someone who never filed a charge or made a public statement about it until "outted" accused him of sexual harrasment. Bet that horrible kind of thing would bring down a president if it ever happened
