Q: I feel that it would be interesting to make a little survey amongst our wives, daughters, girl-friends, in order to assess what kind of watches women wear, which ones they like, dislike and what would be their ideal watch. My wife like to wear vintage Omega and other gold watches, inherited within the family. She also wears some of "my" old watches and "prototypes". My eldest daughter usually wears the skin swatch with the metallic "jewelry" chain bracelet. My youngest wears either a rectangular Festina chrono or a Century Vacuum Chronometer, which she swaps sometime with her life partner, planned to become husband in around 18-24 months.

A: My wife is similar to yours - doesn't understand the watch obsession at all. We have some inherited gold ladies "cocktail" watches which she has no interest in wearing - they stay in the drawer. She wears a Seiko I bought for her for everyday use and she has one more cheapo costume jewelry watch that she bought because she liked the way it looked.
