Q: For the last few months used to be within the top three listings for the keywords "amber jewelry" and "amber jewellery". Last time it was #1. However, for some unexplained reason it has totally disappered last week (I think it was Friday). I have also noticed that the same happened to at least other three sites that used to be within the first 10 sites (I know, and observe my copetition). Does anyony have any idea what is going on? Does Google have some trouble indexing the sites or did they totally change the scoring algorythm?
A: Google is in the middle of a major update to its index, as has been posted about a million times during the last few days in response to similar questions. While an update is in progress, things can jump around wildly. Wait a few days for things to settle down before you come to any conclusions or consider any drastic remedial action
