Have you seen all the many things being made out of hemp these days? There are hemp bags, hemp clothing and even hemp jewelry. It's pretty amazing all the things that can be made from hemp. Most of these are created by making hemp knots. So just what exactly are hemp knots anyway and how are they made? Hemp knots are used to make almost all hemp jewelry as well as other items that are made from hemp. There are two basic knots that are most always used. These knots basically reverse each other so if you learn one, you will know the other. Then you are ready to begin your jewelry making. They are very easy to learn and in fact, you probably already know how to make them, you just might not realize that they were the same knots used in making the hemp designs. If you make the one knot over and over again you get a neat spiral design that resembles a double helix. If you alternate between the two knots, you get a flat design. That is pretty much all there is to it. But if you want to begin making hemp jewelry, you need to know how much hemp to begin with. Then length will depend on what you are making and what you want its final length to be. To begin you need four different strands of hemp. Two are going to form the base and the other two will be used in the knots. When you learn the two basic knots, you can do even more with your hemp designs. You can add beads or more to make it more stylish and unique. You will definitely have fun coming up with many great ideas and designs for your hemp knots and jewelry.
