Looking For Budgeting Software Including Personal Budg

Q: I'm looking for some sort of decent budgeting software. I've tried download.com and shreware.com but have not found any thing that is usefull. I am looking for something for personal finaces and it should be free. Any help in this matter would be apriciated.

A: Try alt.comp.freeware and ask this question. I know they mentioned accounting/home budgeting freeware before. I can't find them in my archives offhand but the people there are very helpful and will be able to provide a URL to download such software. If you get nothing, let me know and I'll try to find at least one of the accounting programs in my archives and give you a URL. .
