Sooner or later, everyone is going to need good health insurance. Most of the advertised health insurance plans are for families, but that doesn't help a person that doesn't have one yet. Luckily, there are individual health insurance plans for anyone with any coverage requirements. You may not need super full coverage, but you will at least need something. You also have many other plans at your disposal with all the options available to individuals these days. For example, your neighbor with the wife and three kids would need a family health insurance plan. That plan would obviously be a waste for the single bachelor. The single bachelor would only need to look at individual health insurance plans and he would probably save a substantial amount of money compared to the family guy. There are several options for you when searching for individual health insurance plans. The harder way is probably by looking through your phone book and calling each one separately. You would probably be put on hold quite a bit and then applications would be mailed or faxed back and forth. Who uses the phone book anymore these days? You could also go online to these company's websites. They all have them and you can fill out an application electronically. They will issue you a quote depending on what level of coverage you need and any prior health problems you have had and where you live. You pick the best one and then choose the plan that is right for you. There are a great deal of plans to choose from when looking for individual health insurance. It may not feel that way, but there are. Just be sure to research and get quotes from a variety of insurers before you decide on one in particular. You should also make sure that the company you choose can deal with your own individual needs.
