The three main coverage types are: dwelling, which pays for damage to your house and any outbuildings on your property, such as detached garages; personal property which pays when your household items (furniture, jewelry, clothing, and appliances) are damaged, destroyed or stolen; and liability which will protect you against financial loss if you are found legally responsible for someone's injury or property damage. When shopping around for house insurance quotes, you need to get quotes from at least 10 different companies if you really want to get the best deal. You should then search for customer satisfaction reviews to see if the company is decent when a customer has to file a claim. Getting the cheapest rates is good but you also want a company that will handle your claims for you in the best possible way. House insurance quotes can be found all over the internet if you take the time to look. But the most important thing is to take your time. If you rush yourself when you are getting a house insurance quote, you will likely choose the wrong company or policy for you and your family.
