Why are there hundreds of thousands of pages, books, legal decisions and other paper and electronic documents stating, re-stating, interpreting and adjudicating federal tax laws that any half-bright high school student could clearly elucidate in a page and a half?

It is also affected by the amount of taxes that you automatically paid out over the year due to your employer automatically taking it out of each paycheck. Generally when people have this money taken out of their paychecks each time they get a check by the time that the year is over they are often given a refund due to overpaying.

If you do indeed need to pay taxes on your income despite paying in all that money during the year that is easy to do as well. Many people still need to pay taxes during the year because their tax burden is over the amount that they paid in during the year.

Federal taxes are in place to tax people on the money that they make in a year. I you had any other special kind of income that was not reported on e W-2 from your employer you will need to put that on your taxes too. Generally this will be done in the form of a 1099, which is just another kind of tax form.

Federal taxes is something that you will need to get use to if living in the Untied States. Almost all countries have their own system of income taxes although they are generally set up in almost the same way .
