In Advanced SAS Applications Development ?
Q: I wondered if anyone could recommend any companies that provide training (e.g. sell books or notes, provide public training courses, e-learning, or on-site training courses, etc.) in advanced SAS applications development using SAS/AF and related tools. I've taken the SAS/AF Applications Development II course from SAS institute, but found it to be quite elementary, and I am struggling to find any more advanced training opportunities or books. It seems that SAS Institute no longer offers the AF Component Development Course which looked quite useful.
A: Contact your local SAS office training department. After noticing that our local SAS office was only offering the intermediate AF class, I contacted them and they agreed to offer a customized course entailing 3 days (late June) and two more days later in the summer, with more of an emphasis on SCL than AF. Alternatively, if you want to travel to Toronto, I'm sure that SAS Institute wouldn't complain about having one or more extra paying customers in the class.
