How Powerful Is The Plain Gold Ring Anyhow?
Q: since the ring is never found, i don't know how good it would really be. has anyone hacked the game to give them the ring and tried it out? is it all that great? the spoilers on the ring say fairly good but don't seem wildly impressive.
A: Enter debug mode (CTRL+A), then type 013C and you'll get the ring, with everything except the curse attached. You can *ID* it by typing CTRL+A and then 'f'. Hm, I thoght it could be found, just only slightly more often than say, legit godly plate of the whale in diable one =). From what I saw in the .info last time I looked i thought it was somehting along the lines of (Narya*Nenya*Villya)^2. That's +5 speed, +5 and sustain all stats, immunity to all base elements, regeneration, and see invisible, in return for an exp drain which should be possible to handle well enough at high levels. Seems pretty useful to me. Z adds the TY curse to it, yes, along with a (+15,+15) slaying bonus. Pern adds all sorts of stuff, good and bad. Other variants do other stuff. The Ring of Power 'The One Ring' (Ey) (+12,+12) +5 to all stats, speed and mana. It sustains all stats. It increases resistances: +100% acid, +100% electricty, +100% fire, +100% cold, +50% water, +50% poison, +50% disease, +50% light, +50% nether, +50% disenchantment and +30% time. It provides immunity to the effects of fear and blindness. It gives its wielder regeneration, see invisible and invisibility. it burdens its wielder with aggravation, experience drain and a taint. It is permanently cursed. It cannot be damaged by any means. When worn and activated, it causes powerful, random, effects, recharging every 100+d100 turns.
