The Promise Of Affordable Web Design
It might be easy to trust in the promises some companies make--of affordable web design. But to protect your interests, beware the empty promises that come with that "guaranteed" affordable web design lure: 1. Affordable Web Design that Includes Their Contacting You First...By Spam Spamming is illegal (and unethical, really). If you haven't signed up for anything and some web design company emails you with glamorous deals, beware. 2. Affordable Web Design that Includes a Ridiculous Promise of High Traffic There are strategies--involving SEO (search engine optimization)--that can increase your chances of more visitors. But a company that offers the promise of a million visitors hitting your site in X number of months is lying. 3. Affordable Web Design that Includes Guaranteed Top Ten Ranking Beware the web designer who claims to know SEO and KWR writing so well that he/she can guarantee a slot on the search engines' top ten reveals. Or, especially, the promise of a #1 position. Think about it: if he is offering this same thing to any more than one person, he is full of it. And if there are billions of surfers/users, thousands of search engines and directories...well, you get the idea. 4. Affordable Web Design that Includes Major Contradictions Regarding false claims...I found a site the other day that boasted, in huge font, they were ranked number one. But there was my Google tool bar, revealing they were in fact not even registering on the scale of 1-10. And when I did a domain name search, the results revealed the same contradictory evidence: the company? We've never heard of em! 5. Affordable Web Design that Includes Covert, or Hidden, Info Especially if the information you seek about the company is public information or that involving costs, fees, or legalities--if the company refuses to answer questions, evades your deeper querying, or withholds public disclosure info, do not walk away. Run!
