Heartburn Arm Pain

Q: I am in debate on going to the doctor right now and am leaning more on the side of going.... but here's what's going on.... last Saturday while I was working I had serious chest and back pain. I hadn't over exherted myself and thought maybe it was heartburn or indigestion or something. This has been ongoing all week. No pain in my chest though, just a burning pain in my back almost like I have been hunched over to long. For the last 2 days I have been down each night with this pain which gets progressively worse at night and I never have it in the morning. Today my arm is numb as well and almost feels restlessness. It has a throbbing pain when I am still. I am also dizzy. What could this be... and yes I am aware that this needs medical attention. can anyone help me find out a solution please?

A:I definately think you need to go and get medical attention. My husbands Uncle felt this way recently, he had a heart attack in the past and this was different so he waited. He got dizzy and his boss dialed 911, it saved his life. Turns out he had blockages in the arteries to his brain and had a heart attack as well. He made it through the operation okay but was in serious condition as he would have had a stroke if it hadn't been treated. It is best to err on the side of caution and go in. Your symptoms sound like warning signs of stroke or heart attack. It could be your not having it in the morning because your blood pressure was lower after sleeping than in the evening. Either way it's best to get it checked. Please don't hesitate to go to the doctor now, your body is giving you warning signals that something is wrong even if it's not heart attack or stroke, these are not normal symptoms. LISTEN to your body and take care of it.
