Acidreflux

Q: Yesterday I got to play in my first varsity football game as a sophomore so I got nervous and was a little stressed out. When I got home my stomach was hurting a little bit and it felt like vomit was coming up my throat. I made myself throw up so I could get to sleep. My dad said it could be acid reflux and that he's had it before when he got stressed and ate the wrong foods. Today I've had the same symptoms on and off, but not as bad as last night. I don't get heartburn much and it's never bad. Could this be acid reflux? and what do I do about it? Can anyone help me please?

A:are you drinking alot of Gatorade? That can cause heartburn, also tomato products...sauce , pizza, and other high sodium.products . Drink more water and maybe buy some fruit TUMS at the 7-11... and take 2 before the game they work but just take two. you may just be nervous!!! after each game the nerves should get a little better-no sodas before the game Acid reflux would not look like food due to it literally being stomach acid that has found its way out and up. It does tend to show up more so after high stress enviornments or for more cronic sufferers after eating tomatoe products ( due to the acid levels) salt ( not sure why there it just happens ) sports drinks have high levels of salt. If you continue to have issues talk to your doctor to see if they can help you out. The most common symptoms are stomach pain or discomfort, burining in throat, nasuea, vomiting, and headache. The thing to do until you see the doctor is to get like Zantac not tums, tums only takes care of heart burn. Also try to talk the time to relax and remember theres always another day, so dont worry about getting all hyped up right now.
