Sexual Harassment?

Q: Sexual Harassment? I'm wondering if this could be considered sexual harassment. My boss came into my cubicle to talk to me about some upcoming projects. When he came in he shut the door, which I thought was weird because he usually leaves it open. and then he pulled an extra chair over next to me, and started talking about the project. Then, all the sudden he put his hand on my leg (really high), and started stroking it...I put his hand back in his lap, and he was like "Oh my god, I am really sorry..." and I just tried to brush that off, since he is married. But then, he walked behind me and started to massage my shoulders. I just said "I better get started on the project, so I need some quiet time." And then he left. Should I talk to him about it first before I contact the manager?

A: Talk to him about how you felt when he did this. If your boss is a reasonable man, your job will not be in jepordy, and he will understand completely. You'd be helping him realize his own problems, that he finds you physically attractive, and it willing to risk his marriage to get comfortable with you. If things continue to go like this, or even escalate further, then you shoul contact your manager and have a talk with him/her about it.
