Why Can't We Send The Army Corps Of Engineers To Fix Refineries

Q: Why can't we send the Army Corps of Engineers to fix oil refineries? My understanding is that only 24 of the 42 oil refineries are operational which is keeping gas prices up. If the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers could bring back 10 of the 18 downed refineries up and operational, that would have an impact on lowering Gas prices. It is very clear the oil companies have no intentions or incentives of repairing those refineries themselves.

A: -Two reasons: 1. The oil companies want gas prices to stay high. 2. The US Army Corps of Engineers have a commander in Chief who is owned by the oil companies. -Everybody knows that the Army Corps of Engineers can fix anything. -Because it's none of their business. How an oil company (a PRIVATE concern) chooses to run its business is none of anyone else's business. If you don't like the way you're being treated, don't buy their product. But keep your hands off the operation of private companies. Unlike my proposal to RAISE gasoline prices by heavy taxation, YOUR proposal DOES represent genuine socialism.
