Phentermine: The Diet Pill

Pregnant or nursing women should avoid this drug, as should minors under the age of eighteen. Never share your prescription with another person. Don't break up a once-a-day tablet by crushing or chipping it; simply take it whole as intended for timed release. Follow your doctor's instructions and the packaging guidelines unless the two disagree, and then call your doctor for clarification. Never take more medicine than the prescribed dose. Phentermine can cause dizziness or headaches, so you may want to avoid driving a car or operating heavy machinery while taking this medication. It also may lead to constipation or dry mouth, as well as other symptoms that may not occur with everyone. You should let the doctor know if you experience any unpleasant or unusual side effects, such as hives, difficulty breathing, heart palpitations, etc. This drug can cause physical or psychological dependency, so let your doctor know before you stop taking the medicine and report any unusual feelings or discomfort right away.
