MBA

Q: I am interested in pursuing a MBA (possibly via DE), but seems like most part time programmes that I see here (N. America), are only Executive MB

A: Is there a difference between "normal" vs "executive" MBA? With more and more courses offered online, does anyone know of any upcoming degrees by the top unversities in the world?

A: That's what I think too, just that the executive version of each of same MBA degree (for U's that I've checked) are typically twice as expensive. Do we get the same degree? I've been lurking around this group for several months now, so I am more or less aware of most of the Universities mentioned in this newsgroups. You are quite right about Syracuse one, I believe there is several residency sessions, and is more or less the same as some of the other MBA's I've seen advertsied in the "Economist" magazine. I feel that more and more education will be delivered via internet, so I like But seriously, folks . . . Dave, an executive MBA is simply an MBS program that is scheduled around the needs of a person who is already in the workplace - an evening/weekend format, for example, rather than a full-time format of day classes. "Top universities of the world" is, of course, a subjective phrase, as you will find MBA courses at all types of colleges and universities. If you want to go *totally* external, City University in Bellvue, Washington, has a popular regionally accredited program. If you want prestige, Syracuse University is at the top of the ticket, but you should be aware that they do have occasional residency sessions - well worth the time, energy, and higher tuition. I suggest that you check out Henley Management College - the oldest independent Business School in Europe - which is about to launch the 4th generation version of its international MBA in Jan 1997.
