Us Engineering Schools

Q: I know you have seen this question and answered it so please forgive me for asking again. Try your best to filter the bias and tell us, what are the best Electrical Engineering schools in the US? Both Undergrad and Graduate but especially BSEE and BSEE w/ CS. Does any one have an opinion and better yet experience, with UCF in Orlando?

A: -mit, stanford, umichigan, uillinois, cornell, UTAustin, VaTech, pennstate, to name a few its all a matter of personal preference, you will be successful at any of these, plus probably 50 more. -keep in mind that what makes a "good" engineering school a good engineering school sometimes doesn't have anything to do with engineering. Some rankings use tuition, retention rates, etc as part of their scoring. People and rankings think of good schools by name recognition which may not be important but very helpful. So if you're asking what's a good school that will instantly be recognized, apply to the first school that pops into your head. MIT and Stanford come to my mind. To find good engineering schools with solid programs will take a lot more research but the ones on the rankings are pretty safe bets. -Milwaukee School Of Engineering
