Ot: John Pelan's Business Management Degree ?
Q: I've been browsing through US colleges looking at information relating
to degrees in business management. It would appear that a degree in
this subject in the US makes a student a "Bachelor of Science" (BS). In
the UK someone who has attained this level of academic achievement is
entitled to add the letters after their name e.g. John Pelan, BS.
A:You are alluding to a four-year degree, I have already told you that was not the case. Please try to pay attention. Do some more research on the US education system - it is very different to the UK system. For example, a UK PhD is very different from a US PhD. The traditional UK PhD is by thesis only, the US PhD tends to be partly taught, has written exams and the thesis is a much smaller part of the No. I could however be trying to give you some advice about the US education system before you make a real fool of yourself. But as you don't accept any advice, I won't bother any more. No, I think some of my sock puppet admirers and small press rivals are that. But what's the sudden interest in ghost fiction? How did you turn up here? You don't seem to be aware that John Pelan was outed by his former ISP for lying about owning shares with them; their Legal Counsel allowed his emails on the subject to be published on the internet and he confirmed to at least three indepedent parties that all this was true. So when Pelan then claims out of the blue to hold a degree in business management after a career of burger flipping, sales and small press work, one is entitled to be sceptical. Pelan can clear this up very easily if he wishes and I will end up with a bloody nose. All he has to do is prove his claim. There is no valid reason why he could fight shy of coughing up some proof unless her were lying again. So, if you are so interested in ghost fiction that you turned up here to start advising people how best to resolve non-ghostly disagreements, I suggest you urge Pelan to cough up some proof so that the matter can be resolved swiftly and I can be proven wrong.
