Does Anyone Know Where Offer Early Childhood Education Online Course?

Q: I know that most online university credits or completed degrees that are DETC accreddited are not accepted at a "regular" "traditional" regional college campus. My question is though, are they accepted at OTHER DETC colleges online? I am getting my Early Education AA degree at Ashworth College This is going to take about 2 years. There are 4-5 courses per semester, and it is even MORE Challenging to do this AT Home then in a SCHOOL. IT take alot od disciline and HARD work and schedualing I have a child with a disabilty, so going to a REGULAR school is impossible. ONLINE education is the ONLY Way for me. I want to , when this DONE, further it to a BA in Psycology. But Ashworth doesnt offer BA's or Masters only A

A: . And I couldnt find ANY other Accreddited (by DETC) that offered a AA in Early Childhood education.. Does anyone know wHERE I could then obtain my BA in Psycology ONLINE ??Utilizing the AA degree from Ashworth? IF askworth is going to be a WASTE Of time, I would RATHER just go RIGHT for going for a BA 4 year degree in Psycology online then to do THIS and THEN another 4 years elsewhere cause ASHWORTH wont be worth ANYTHING.

A:Here's a rule of thumb for any kind of post-secondary/online schools. It doesn't matter if the words 'university" or "college" is in the name of the school, if the school is not listed as a school eligible to offer students federal funding (Stafford Loans, Pell Grants, etc...), the schools' accredidation is not the type that will have transerrable credis. You should look for a 'regionally' accredited school for online associates degrees, look at somewhere like Keiser College....at www.keisercollege.org...also look into www.salliemae.com or www.laureate.salliemae.com...sallie mae will give u a drop down box of schools eligible for aid.

I found an interesting online university that is accredited, non-profit and affordable. Western Governers University www.wgu.edu They offer a Bachelors in Early Childhhod Education. (Note: I hope you have experience in this field. I owned a 125-capacity child care center for eleven years and hated it with a purple passion! Also, no money in this!) I am actually considering WGU for a Bachelors in Business.
