Q: Hi! Everybody. This is E.., a secondary teacher in Hong Kong. I would like to study for a doctoral degree in education ( Ph.D. or Ed.D.) by DL. Could you give me some information on it? I would prefer the DL programs offered by universities in U.K., Australia, or U.S. By the way, the Uni. of Hull is now offering a DL Ph.D. in Hong Kong, could anyone tell me more about the Uni. and the program?

A:A good place to start your search for a distance learning Ed.D program is http://members.tripod.com/~lepine/phd.html The doctoral programs listed require a very short residency in addition to the distance learning component. Here are some of the regionally accredited programs that I found in my quest for a distance doctoral program in education: The Graduate School of America Ph.D. in Education http://www.tgsa.edu/phd_ed.html University of Nebraska-Lincoln Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Higher Education http://hou-edadone.unl.edu/Welcome.htm Nova Southeastern University Ed.D. in Adult Education, Computing and Information Technology, Health Care Education, Higher Education, or Vocational, Technical, Occupational Education http://www.nova.edu/phe/ Ed.D. in Instructional Technology and Distance Education http://www.fcae.nova.edu/pet/itde/ Ph.D. in Computing Technology in Education http://www.scis.nova.edu/Common/Catalogs/dcte.html Pepperdine University Ed.D. in Educational Technology http://moon.pepperdine.edu/gsep/programs/ET/
