Degree In Adult Education ?

Q: Where is the best place to obtain a master's degree in adult education via distance learning? How much will it cost?

A:I plan to start a master's program in Adult Education this winter. I've been teaching adult education for the past eight years and while this initially drew me to the program, when I sat down and looked at the offerings it seemed that this degree has an amazing amount of flexibilty for future employment. I assume you are looking for a graduate degree, as adult ed is never offered as an undergrad major. Capella University, Regionally accredited and often spoken of highly, offers MS degrees in both option a and b. They Offer the PHD in each provided you can attend several seminars and a couple of short summer sessions. the rest can be done on-line. Cost is fairly reasonable, about $845 per COURSE. If your loaded and cost isn't so much a factor, you might want to look at National-Louis University's 18 month program. Cost is $450 per SEMESTER HOUR. Just think of all the Moolah you can make with an Adult Ed degree, the nearly $20,000 you spend will be a drop in the bucket... Buffalo State College of The State University of New York is accepting applications for an online masters degree in Adult Education with a specialization in Human Resource Development. The program consists of 24 credit hours in Adult Education, 3 credit hours in educational research, and 12 credit hours in Human Resource Development. Students may substitute for some of the Human Resource Development courses with the consent of the faculty.] This online program is available on a part-time basis; students are able to complete the degree in as little as two calendar years by taking two courses per semester, including summers.
