Correspondence-high School ?

Q: Please send information, recommendations, comments, etc. Anything and everything you have or know about... ICS International Correspondence Schools: Newport/ Pacific High School Course. Are the diplomas recognized, and accepted by universties....

A:No. Their diplomas are not considered to be university entry level and are not touted as such. You would be better off doing a GED or attempting to secure admission to university as a mature student. I'm not sure where you are by your address but if you are in British Columbia you might inquire about their Open University/Open Learning Agency the latter of which I believe offers high school diplomas by correspondence. If you are anywhere else in Canada you may want to contact your provincial Ministry of Education about correspondence programmes. I know Ontario offers an excellent service through the Independent Learning Centre which results in an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Both the University of Nebraska and the University of Missouri-Columbia have reputable correspondence programs and offer a variety of high school courses.
