I Need Help About Credit Carddebts

Q: I need help about Credit Card debts (which are way out of control and can't be met). Is there some Govt agency that can talk to me or help me negotiate settlement. Or do I have to negotiate with the CC companies direct?

A: -Make an appointment as soon as you can at the Citizens' Advice Bureau. They are very experienced and they have seen thousands of people in your situation. Better still, they are free. Do not pay anyone to help you, it is not necessary and will not help you. -Look on the web for Consumer Credit Counselling Service. They can negotiate with lenders for you, set up a debt management plan if required, and don't charge you for doing anything. -A few of my freinds have found http://www.payplan.com/ and http://www.cccs.co.uk/ very helpful and these are FREE. do not use Fee-paying companues as it will make you go deeper in debt. Also check out http://www.debthelpuk.co.uk/index.htm as it is very useful. I wish you all the best in your mission of clearing/reducing your debts. One thing to remember, it is NOT a criminal offence to be in debt. Deal with all queries in a timely manner and make an effor to show that you want to clear/reduce your debt .
