Credit History

Credit history is your most important financial record. Your credit history is decides whether you will get a home loan, car mortgage, personal loan or credit card. In today's life, it is very difficult to manage without credits and loans. Moreover, it is virtually impossible to get credit without having a satisfactory credit history. Three major credit-reporting companies Equifax, TRW and Trans Union collect all the data regarding your borrowing and payment patterns and then prepare your credit history. The credit bureaus then supply this data to the lending agencies and other organizations for evaluating you candidature for borrowings and other purposes. Credit history is the first thing, which any potential lender would like to examine before making a lending decision. If you have record full of delayed payments or delinquencies, you will find it very difficult to get future loans. You need to have a credit history to take credit. Many people do not take loans or advances, but they should try talking small loans or credit cards for establishing a credit history for taking larger loans like home mortgage. Wise spending is very effective method of building a satisfactory credit history. You should be very careful with your finances and never overspend. You must be timely with your bill payments and minimize your expenses by limiting your credit card usage and by selecting credit cards with low interest rates. Take a copy of your credit report at least once in year, examine it for black marks and or discrepancies, and try to sort then out at the earliest. You should try to better your credit history by paying all the outstanding dues that reflect on your credit report and try to minimize out standings on your credit cards. If you have bad credit or poor credit, you can reestablish your credit history by taking remedial measures. You can take secured credit card or a collateralized loan and pay it on time, open a bank account and use it responsibly, or you can get someone to cosign with you to repair your bad credit history.
