A Credit Card Online?
Q: Anyone know of a place where you can get a free credit report without using a credit card online? I would like to rent a car and they need to know my credit score. It needs to be a "B" or above they said. I would like to check this out for myself so there are no surprises.
A: -If a car rental place wants a credit score before renting, and they want your business, they will get it themselves. Do they want your business or are they indirectly telling you to buzz off? -If you live in the western US, www.annualcreditreport.com will get you a truely free copy from each of the big three. Be careful - there are lots of shill agencies out there that use a "free" report as a come-on for selling their subscription monitoring sevice. -The scores are available, but as you say, not for free. They are around $6 per reporting agency.
