Colorado Ged

Q: How is Colorado beating Edmonton going to make the life of a Dallas Star fan better?

A:1. Because it gives Edmonton what they deserved in the first round. There are two reasons that Dallas didn't win: a. Because they didn't make the undisciplined Oilers pay on the powerplay. b. Because we have a *good* goalie, not a *great* goalie. 2. Because it serves as a wakeup call to the Stars players and management to fix the above items. Colorado demonstrated what could have been achieved if these things were in place. 3. By defeating an overcocky team that thought they were going to roll to the cup finals because of one upset. If Dallas had given Edmonton a shred of respect before the series, instead of thinking they had some divine right to move on, they may have won. But no, Ludwig and Modano were already talking about matching up with Colorado way back in the regular season. Said Modano: "Our units of five on the ice are a lot more solid than theirs." Whatever, Mikey. Maybe more solid on the golf course, but not on the ice. And Ludwig, in that Sports Illustrated article a few weeks ago, said that people should be asking how Colorado matches up with Dallas, not vice versa. Yo Ludwig, how about how you match up with San Jose instead? Maybe the Stars should think about beating the Sharks (0-3-1 against them this season) before they want to take on the Avs. Kind of like a guy with a GED saying he's going to Yale instead of community college.
