Types Of Stainless Cookware

Q: I've wanted All-Clad for years, but they are just too expensive for me to go out in buy. I've started to look at less expensive stainless such as Cuisenart and Calphalon and noticed that although they are very well made, they aren't as heavy as the All-Clad. My question is, can anyone recommend why I should hold out for the All-Clad or should I go for the lighter, less expensive other brands. If people out there have good experience with the less expensive I'd love to hear it. Thanks to all who answer in advance. I'd love to replace my old Revere pots that have seen better days.

A: Actually, I can understand that response. When I got divorced I wanted absolutely nothing to do with anything my former MIL gave me. Out the door it went! Still, it's a shame to bypass good cookware based on the emotional reaction. Oh well! Good luck in your search. Why not replace the Revere Ware with more Revere? Granted, the handles aren't what they used to be. But I've been using my Revere copper clad stainless for over 20 years. Mom has been using hers for 50. Nothing wrong with them at all. I'd buy more in a heartbeat.
