Seen Any Good Stainless Saute Pans Recently ?

Q: Any recommendations would be welcome! I am tired of non-stick surfaces - they always wear off. Just looking for long lasting stainless saute pan to use daily.

A: Well...if it's durability we're talking about, I've got some 30 year old Farberware that's still going strong. I was merely pointing out, some people can't afford to spend $100 on one overpriced skillet...they need to save some cash for groceries, too, and that $100 is their entire budget for pots and pans. There is nothing about All-Clad that's worth $100 for a 10 inch skillet--The sheer number of "knockoffs" available proves that they can be made for much less. You are paying for their marketing and their "endorsements" by tv chefs. (and probably for coming up with the idea way back when, too...) If you care more about "pretty" and having the same pans as all the guys on tv, then that's your choice. There are dozens of choices that are much, much better than the stuff you replaced--and still well within the budget of the average person, without having to sacrifice durability and cooking performance. Besides, a real cook doesn't need fancy pans to make wonderful food. I was merely pointing out that All-Clad is NOT the only choice out there for durable, good quality cookware.
