Old Movie, Old Cookware..

Q: I was watching 'Good Neighbor Sam' (Jack Lemmon, circa 1959). It's a funny movie, but I hadn't seen it years and this didn't register with me until today. His wife (not the neighbor one) was cooking. And she hauled out this bright (flame) orange cookware. I swear, this is the stuff my mother had in the 1960's and I still have the large covered skillet. It's Descoware, made in Belgium. Heavy, enamel coated cast iron... bright orange! So in the movie she takes out three pots (all of which I remember!). And he snuck back to his house after dining on a nice porterhouse steak, potatoes and peas at the neighbors house (who is not his wife, but... well, see the movie). So of course he had to pretend he was hungry. And she serves him macaroni casserole from the large two-handled casserole (she chirps, "Your favorite!"... here, let me give you some of the crispy bits, you like that"). It was burnt to a nice crisp (laughing). I found it funny. Mom's cookware in a movie. I see the occasional piece of Descoware for sale in antique shops
