In Search Of Cookware
Q: I have been looking for a set of cookware I saw on TV a few years ago that had some kind of special handle that that released from the pots and pans and could be used on the whole cookware set. Has anyone ever seen anything like these? If you have what is the name? Are they any good? Thanks,
A: They are called "Ingenio" by T-Fal. They've stopped making them. But you might be able to find a set on Ebay or at Overstock.com Might even find them at a place like "National Wholesale Liquidators", or Odd-Job, or even TJ Maxx or Marshalls. I don't think they are extraordinary, and the prices they were asking initially were way out there, way overpriced, but I imagine they are about as good as the T-Fal with attached handles. If you can find the set for about $100, and you really like the gimmick of the removable handle, than you probably will get a decent set of cookware for your money. I wouldn't pay more than that for it, but that's me. They have a website. http://www.ingenio.t-fal.com/
