Circulon Cookware--i Got All-clad

Q: I'm sure you will be pleased with your All-Clad as we have been with ours.... When we got our first couple of pieces from Cookware & More, they suggested using Barkeepers Friend... it works very well, it really removes stains, etc. I haven't had the need to actually polish my cookware yet, but bringing the stainless back to a very high gloss should not be much of a problem, the steel seems nicely machined and will take polish nicely. The new cookware is quite a joy to use compared to the Farberware that we'd been using for 20 years. Of course, now that I've been bitten by the bug, I've been expanding our All-Clad pieces whenever I can get to C&M.

A: Barkeeper's Friend contains powdered oxalic acid, which is *very* toxic when ingested or inhaled. Oxalic acid is a powerful bleach and is not necessary for most cleaning of stainless steel. Be very careful with this stuff, especially if there are small children around. congrats on the al-clad! I have calphalon and just got 3 circulon pans through QVC (I know, whack myself in the head with a hammer). But I really like these pans. They are NON-STICK! I'm amazzed at how well they work, I've seen yan can cook, use them, and yes, I like them very much. I'm a hard sell on lots of things. The only thing I don't like about them is that the crepes I make, come out with the little circles on the one side, not a big deal, I'll can use another pan for those, but for all the other cooking, I really like these pans :-). ANd YES they are great for the stir frys
