Starbucks Italia Digital Problem

Q: I am trying to repair an italia digital (espresso) coffee maker, after replacing the teflon hoses attached to the steamer (they were melted, probably due to the steam unit operating without liquid), the machine is stuck in a descaling cycle, with display calling for filling the water reservoir, which I have done. After realizing I had to let the machine run out of water (counter intuitive to me), so it would know it is at the end of the descaling solution, the display calls for filling the tank for cleansing, but never gets to the next step. I also tried power cycling the unit with the steam wand valve closed, which was supposes to terminate the descaling program, but with no luck. The display us unresponsive to any input key combination I can come up with, mainly the "esc" button(s), either mid button in top row, or the 2 middle buttons n bottom row. Is there any way to make the control board forget about the descaling, like by shorting some pins on the board? Any other suggestions? Any websites I can post this on?

A: there are about 10 causes of this problem, in wha is a very trouble prone machine. Why not contact http://www.hitechespresso.com & arrange to trade yours in on one of his machines? I'm sure davey would make you a good offer on what you've got. Even the cheap Chinese junk he sells would be better than trying to debug what you've got.
