Cheking The Grammar Of My Abstract About Change Management?

Q: Is there anyone who would like to help me with my abstract? Is the grammar correct and expressions ok? -------------------------------------------------- ABSTRACT This research is about changing computer [H1] software in organization, and change of a word processing program in City Office of xx. The theory deals with change management, key factors for problems and success in change, and organizing a change process. As skills and competence has become a core value in organization's processes, there is enlarged [H2] part about learning and knowledge building. Change management is said [H3] to be 1/3 of management and 2/3 of leadership. A leader or a leading team has to guarantee availability of adequate resources and knowledge. A leader has to guide the change process to ensure personnel's commitment and keep the change in progress up to the implementation of the change initiative. The case study explores a change of a word processing program in City Office of Lahti. The points of interests were change management and leadership, information[H4] , resources, motivation, learning and knowledge building, support, and attitude towards the change. Material for this study was gathered by making notes in contacts with employees, interviewing the City Secretary, the IT-support assistant, and the Manager of the IT-services and with a form study among [H5] employees of City Office. According to the study the main reason for criticism was nonexistent information about the change. People felt, that the schedule was too tight and employees' personal needs for training should have been defined. On the other hand, people were content with the courses and the support. In similar change processes to come in city of Lahti, good information should be provided in very early stage of a change. A training program should be built according to employees' needs. With good leadership a change process can be carried through systematically ensuring an implementation of a change. Naming a person in charge and support in every office is recommendable. Key words: change management, leadership, change, learning, knowledge building ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- [H1] changing computer software OR changing software ? A:-The first part needs to be either "changing computer software in *an* organization", or "changing computer software in organizations" -- the choice depends on whether the research related

to a single organization or to organizations in general. I would use "...and specifically, changing a word processing program..." -If "skills and competence" is a buzzword which means a single thing, you should place the words in quotation marks or hyphenate the term. If the concepts retain their individuality, this ought to be "As skills and competence have become core values..." -[H3] "said" is better than "regarded". If this split is widely accepted in the literature, perhaps say "Change management is accepted..." "Of management" and "of leadership" are unidiomatic in this construction, and the use of 1/3 and 2/3 is too informal for an abstract.
