Fire Mountain Gems new minimum order amount

Q: It was brought to my attention by Karen Munger that Fire Mountain Gems has instituted a minimum order of $50 with a $5 small order fee for orders less than $5. Apparently they are going to wait until to April to strictly enforce this, but it is listed in their latest sale update. (Karen, I tried to thank you via email, but my reply mail bounced back.)

A: Yeah, they say wholesale (January sale flyer with Czech fire-polished in front) only, but they've never asked me for an ID, even on the order I placed from the January flyer. But I've always placed rather large orders when I do order, but since I order for designing I don't usually order a lot of one thing.

I want very much to see their Delica selection and prices.

I haven't been very happy with Toho Antiques. They tend to be slightly more expensive than Miyuki for the same finish but at the same time also tend to be more irregular. But since Miyuki doesn't make the 3.3's, matching them to Delicas is harder.

Wait, has anyone compiled a list matching Delica and Antique colors?

Also, Caravan has the best prices I've seen on Swarovskis and Delicas. Can someone who is reasonably objective post (or just email me) about their experiences with Caravan?

The latest update I got from FMG was on DELICA beads!!!! I compared their prices to the Shepherdess and the rate at FMG is close to the 100 gm rate of Shepherdess. (Note: Shepherdess carries Toho Antiques, so the comparison isn't truly fair.) Great price. The lowest rate at FMG for buying 100+ packages (assortable!!) is same as the 250 gm rate of Shepherdess of one single color.

FMG also has a sample bead card with real delica beads on them. I don't know if these are repackaged originals from Miyuki or what. They don't have Miyuki on it anywhere. The line of delicas and the sample cards have 'Create Compliment' on it.

The update also has a minimum order of $50 and it explicitly stated WHOLESALE on it also!!! So these rates I quoted may only be for customer with resale license only.
