If you are interested in an auction or you want to get some great deals then you might want to try a sheriff auction. There are many different auctions that take place and they are all opportunities for you to find an item. Typically the items that are sold at sheriff auctions are high ticket items as well such as cars, boats, houses, etc. A sheriff auction can get you many of these items that you are looking for. They have these items for auction because they are usually seized from someone. For example, someone who commits a crime or owes taxes, etc. they may have their property seized. The sheriff's office or police department will then have all of this property they have seized and they need to get rid of it. At certain scheduled times they will set up these auctions and sell the items. The biggest question you will have is how to find out about the sheriff auction and when and where it is being held. The best way to do that is to contact the sheriff office and tell them you are interested in being added to the auction list. Then when they have an upcoming auction, they will send out notices to everyone on the list. The notice will tell the location and time and other information about the sheriff auction. Often they will also tell items that will be at the auction so you can tell if you are even interested in going. Sometimes there is a fee for entrance to the sheriff auction but usually it is free to get in if you are on the contact list. You can take part in the auction items that you see and are interested in. Sometimes there are also snacks, a barbecue or other food and drinks at these events.
