Apparel Golf
Golf apparel used to be easy. Golf shirts and beige pants for men and skirts and golf shirts for women. But since the explosion in the popularity of the sport amongst both genders there has been an avalanche of marketing designed to meet the golfing apparel needs of both sexes. Today, there are tons of choices both for women and men. One of the hottest golf apparel lines for women is called Lija and has three new collections to be released in. These collections are called "Purple Rain," "Brown Eyed Girl," and "Winter Wonderland," and feature 86 pieces including pants, capris, shorts, skirts, skorts, polos, sweaters, knit vests and outerwear. For male golfers there is a new batch of golf apparel in 2005 from Dockers called Dockers. This series includes the Core Essentials (basic pique shirt, Bel Air pants, Newport shorts), Tour Collection, Performance (which includes mock turtlenecks), Blue Label (which includes some full-button shirts) and Clubhouse outerwear (including sweater vests and half-zippered pull-overs). All of the Dockers collection features a special technology which includes the Spot Lifter finish that ensures trousers are wrinkle-resistant, stain-resistant and wick away perspiration, the Stain Lifter which helps stains to be more easily lifted away during the wash cycle, and the Stain Defender finish which involves treating with DuPont Teflon. Stain Defender fabrics are also antimicrobial and provide extra UV protection. Not bad for your golf duds! No matter how nice you look, golfing is still an outdoor activity and you need to protect your nice sporting apparel in the case of inclement weather. One of the golfing fraternity and
