Anyone Here Use Business-card-cds For Their Portfolio?
Q: I got some business-card-sized CD-Rs yesterday, tested one out with a 50MB live Linux distro, works great. I'm thinking of putting my portfolio on them in Flash or Director and using them as business cards... anyone else doing this?
A: -Yes. Don't use the 'square' or 'hockey rink' type though. Very unreliable. I have been using the 8 cm round ones with good results -I use the regular sized ones. They make a nicer (larger - and I think make a bolder impression) presentation (with graphics) and besides the ease of use, are so much cheaper. The smaller ones are a tad gimmicky for my liking. - I've done quite a few for clients, and haven't had a problem with them yet. I'm actually in the process of having 500 of them printed up for one of my clients who has a trade show coming up. The kind I use are of this type: http://www.effectuality.ca/Unprinted_Packaging/mini_bus_cdr.shtml And can honestly say that I haven't heard anything bad about them from the client. Maybe they don't want to hurt my feelings, though.
