Why Such Price Differences In MCSE Courses ?

Q: The answer is simple. They charge what the market will bear. Some, with excellent lying..uh..marketing will be able to convince some (sucker) that because theirs is not cheap, it is better. (higher success rate, better job contacts, etc.) Since it appears you have the Internet, have you considered self study, or using one of the on-line training courses? If you choose to go the classroom route, ask to attend a class with the instructor that will present your class. (free, so you can evaluate the quality) Don't lock on one, go through 3 or 4. Then get it in writing that the instructor you have chosen will be your instructor for the full course. If they won't do it, walk away, or ask to evaluate the other instructors that will be presenting your material. (Again, be picky.) Also ask to look over the material you will be given. Try to negotiate the price down! Sometimes they will give you a "special deal". If you need the classroom type of experience you can get it on line at www.epiclearning.com. If you can do self study, there is an on-line course at www.handtech.com that is very good. Be sure to get some books

as well. Sybex books seem to have a consensus here in this newsgroup as good. I also recommend the "For Dummies" books on the Core 4 tests. No matter how you study, be sure to have a test network, and server(s) to play with. You might check out your local library for the books. (If you are spending your money, cheaper is better.)
