lafayette's police chief has been indicted for wiretapping, opelousas' police chief has been indicted for the misuse of fedearl funding and of refusing to answer disturbance calls because the sheriff dept, not the city won a big security contract for a one night concert, carencro's police chief beat up his wife, scott's police chief got a sexual harassment charge of one of his employees, WHATS WRONG WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT IN LOUISIANA!! and also on top of that there are police officers who never been to the academy yet who are out there and also i remember one officer, in a rural town near my city, who was illiterate! he had to call other police officers to write the ticket for him!
A: The police, judges and parish divide up fines, seized property and other goodies according to a percentage. Under Napoleonic code, each entity feels like they are above the law. So, who is going to prosecute whom? That is why I hate Louisiana and I would go out of my way to avoid that state due to its corruption.
