Why Should You Pay Less Child Support?

Q: it just amazes me that nobody seems to think that the CP might acquire things like leather coats and fine jewelry with funds OTHER than the child support. You seem to think that if the CP earns a decent income, the CS should be reduced accordingly-no! why?

A:You realize, that if the men had custody in the first place, they probably would not need child support in the first place. Child support was designed so that women, who are incompetent/lazy/stupid or incapable of getting a decent job, can get custody of their children. Without child support/welfare, these 'little moms' would probably be living in trash cans. what state you may live in but most states recognize guideline child support. The amount of support to be paid is determined based on the ABILITY to earn income of both parents and divided based on percentage. Yes this is based on gross income of both parents, however credit is given for taxes, union dues, and medical insurance, the BIG PROBLEM with using net pay is that so many of the NCP's would

then have voluntary deductions (ie. advance pay, IRA's) and there would be no net income left. The NCP (be it the mother or father) pays the amount of their obligation to the CP. In all states, the NCP can remarry and have no fear of the new spouses IRS refund being withheld if they simply file their returns as married filing seperately. Also, most states do not order support when custody is joint, nor can the children be removed from the state. If the letter writer actually paid an attorney, his beef is not with his ex-wife it is with his attorney. Sounds like he is jealous that the ex-wife is living better than he is, but he fails to mention the children's welfare.
